We are working with a leading boutique marketing effectiveness consultancy experiencing sustained growth. The firm collaborates with many well-known brands to understand the true impact of marketing, answering specific questions and planning more effective strategies. They use econometric modelling to build a detailed understanding of marketing components and influencing factors, analysing elements from brand and direct advertising performance to price and promotional optimisation, within the wider context of factors such as climate change and cost of living. They undertake complex analysis projects outside marketing scope, which are investigated for clients using advanced statistical techniques. Thoughtful, logical analysis is central to their work, with a focus on communicating analysis in an easily understandable and actionable way to help clients plan marketing programmes and strategies.
This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career: transitioning from mainly hands-on modelling to managing and guiding projects delivered by others. They are seeking a hybrid doer/manager – someone who can maintain a strategic overview while staying hands-on when needed, i.e. confidently switching between delivery and leadership. They are seeking an independently minded professional with around 5-8 years of experience in a similar role. Whether your background is agency-based, client-side, from a specialist modelling house, or as an independent consultant, they welcome diverse perspectives to grow the team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding marketing mix modelling (MMM) evaluation for clients, directly or through Analyst resources as needed.
- Manage collection and preparation of data from a range of sources.
- Use statistical analysis tools (R, EViews, Excel) to produce robust models.
- Translate results into engaging presentations to clearly communicate insights to clients.
- Play a key role in developing new tools, techniques and R&D projects alongside the team.
- Collaborate in a training-friendly environment to mentor less experienced colleagues.
Qualifications and experience
- Around 5-8 years of experience in a similar role (agency-based, client-side, modelling house, or independent consultancy welcomed).
- Experience with econometric modelling and marketing mix modelling.
- Proficiency with statistical tools such as R, EViews and Excel.
- Ability to manage projects, balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, and communicate complex analysis clearly.
Location and working arrangements
Based in London E1 with flexible hybrid working; regular office attendance to support team dynamics and mentoring of junior colleagues.
