We're supporting a well-established UK adventure business that has recently brought its website development in-house and is now modernising internal systems and tooling. This is a hands-on role in a small, trusted tech team, working across a customer-facing web platform and the internal tools that help the business run smoothly.

What you'll do:

  • Evolve and maintain a modern, high-performance website, pages, features, performance, accessibility, SEO fundamentals
  • Build internal tools to replace legacy Power Apps and manual workflows
  • Own work end to end, discovery, build, release, iteration
  • Collaborate with marketing and operational stakeholders to deliver practical solutions

Tech skills:

  • Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
  • Front-end: component-based UI, static site generators (Astro, Gatsby, Next.js or similar), responsive design, accessibility, performance
  • Back-end/systems: APIs/services (Node.js or similar), integrations, workflow-driven development
  • Delivery: Git, code review, release discipline, pragmatic use of AI-assisted dev tools

What we're looking for:

  • Commercial software development experience (web and/or internal systems)
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
  • Comfortable switching between customer-facing and internal tooling work
  • Practical, adaptable mindset, clear communication, collaborative style
