Datatech Analytics is supporting a leading consulting and technology organisation delivering advanced analytics, AI and operational research solutions across government, infrastructure, defence and complex commercial environments. This is an opportunity to work on genuinely challenging problems where analytics directly influences operational and strategic decision making.

The role:

  • Delivering data science and analytical solutions from discovery through to deployment
  • Applying AI, machine learning and optimisation techniques to solve complex operational challenges
  • Developing predictive, simulation and scenario-planning models
  • Working with large, complex and often geospatial datasets
  • Partnering closely with engineering, platform and business teams across modern cloud environments
  • Translating technical findings into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting delivery across agile, multidisciplinary programmes

Environment:

  • Python, SQL, R
  • Databricks, PySpark
  • Cloud and modern data platforms
  • GIS and geospatial analytics tooling
  • Optimisation and simulation frameworks

Looking for:

  • Background in Data Science, Operational Research, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Geography or another quantitative discipline
  • Experience working with spatial, geospatial or location-based data
  • Strong capability across modelling, forecasting, optimisation or advanced analytics
  • Interest in combining AI techniques with traditional analytical and operational research approaches
  • Strong problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
  • Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
