  • Uphold and promote best practices in data governance, quality, and documentation, in alignment with Microsoft Purview standards
  • Collaborate with other Insight and Technology teams to expand data capabilities, ensure consistency, and promote innovation (including exploration of Generative AI and automation)
  • Champion knowledge sharing and ongoing upskilling within the team, introducing new tools, methods, and processes where appropriate

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience (3–5 years minimum) in an analytics or data engineering, ideally within a media, entertainment, or consumer-facing industry
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small team, with demonstrable people leadership and project coordination skills
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Spark SQL, and Python for data processing and automation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory would be useful but not essential
  • Power BI
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT workflows, data modelling, and structuring datasets for analytics
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and APIs across formats
  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools (eg, Power Automate) and/or Power Apps is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • An understanding of data governance tools (eg, Microsoft Purview) and practices
  • A passion for TV, storytelling, and how data can transform the business
