Working within a highly collaborative environment, you'll support the development and execution of best-in-class pricing practices while helping the business respond to an evolving and highly competitive market.
This is a hands-on analytical role where your work will directly support strategic and commercial decisions across acquisition, retention and customer value. You'll be working with large datasets, developing predictive models and optimising pricing strategies in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for someone with strong pricing and analytical expertise who enjoys solving complex business challenges and delivering insight that drives measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the successful delivery of Consumer pricing strategy and initiatives, driving profitability and trading performance
- Build, develop and enhance predictive pricing models to understand customer behaviour including propensity to purchase, claim or cancel
- Analyse price trial and competitor pricing data to support pricing optimisation and commercial decision making
- Develop forecasting models and clearly explain weekly and annual variances versus forecast
- Reconcile, validate and prepare datasets, ensuring data processing is accurate, efficient and robust
- Monitor pricing model performance over time and recommend corrective actions where required
- Work closely with implementation teams to ensure models are deployed correctly and performing as expected
- Investigate new analytical and modelling techniques to improve model performance and pricing capability
- Ensure all pricing activity aligns with FCA regulatory guidance and internal governance processes
- Collaborate closely with Pricing, Finance, Marketing, Insights and Compliance teams across the business
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business, supporting cross-functional problem solving and delivery
Skills required:
- Degree in a numerical subject or equivalent relevant qualification
- Strong pricing experience within Insurance, Financial Services, Banking or a similar analytical environment
- Strong understanding of pricing and analytical techniques, including GLMs/GBMs
- Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using coding tools such as SQL, Snowflake or SAS
- Experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience using statistical modelling software such as Python, R, Emblem or Radar
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build credibility and trust at all levels
- Commercially minded with strong financial acumen and delivery focus
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation and enhanced performance
