Datatech Analytics is partnering with a leading consulting and technology organisation delivering secure, large-scale data platforms across defence, national security and critical infrastructure. We’re looking to speak with DV cleared Lead Data Engineers and senior platform-focused engineers who still enjoy building, solving problems and staying close to delivery. The work is genuinely high impact, involving production-grade systems, complex engineering challenges and environments where performance, resilience and security matter.
The role involves building and scaling modern data platforms across highly secure environments, working across the full engineering lifecycle from ingestion through to consumption and optimisation. This is hands-on engineering, not oversight-heavy governance work removed from delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and building end-to-end data pipelines
- Engineering scalable batch and real-time data platforms
- Working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
- Optimising cloud-native infrastructure and platform performance
- Collaborating with architects, engineering teams and programme leadership on secure delivery
- Supporting modern lakehouse, streaming and distributed data environments
Environment:
- Python, SQL
- Spark, Databricks
- AWS, Azure or GCP
- Streaming, lakehouse and modern data platform architectures
Requirements:
- Active DV clearance, essential
- Strong background building secure, production-scale data platforms
- Experience leading engineering delivery or mentoring teams
- Strong understanding of cloud-native and distributed data environments
- Engineers who still enjoy staying close to technology and implementation
If you’re DV cleared and interested in building genuinely mission-critical systems, it’s worth a conversation.
