We're supporting a well-established UK adventure business that has recently brought its website development in-house and is now modernising internal systems and tooling. This is a hands-on role in a small, trusted tech team, working across a customer-facing web platform and the internal tools that help the business run smoothly.
What you'll do:
- Evolve and maintain a modern, high-performance website, pages, features, performance, accessibility, SEO fundamentals.
- Build internal tools to replace legacy Power Apps and manual workflows.
- Own work end to end, discovery, build, release, iteration.
- Collaborate with marketing and operational stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.
Tech skills:
- Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
- Front-end: component-based UI, static site generators (Astro, Gatsby, Next.js or similar), responsive design, accessibility, performance.
- Back-end/systems: APIs/services (Node.js or similar), integrations, workflow-driven development.
- Delivery: Git, code review, release discipline, pragmatic use of AI-assisted dev tools.
What we're looking for:
- Commercial software development experience (web and/or internal systems).
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
