Pricing sits right at the heart of how this business operates, it's not a back-office function, it's the engine that drives commercial decisions across the board. We're working with a well-established UK financial services business looking for a senior pricing leader to own the strategy that directly shapes how the business competes and grows.
This is a senior leadership role reporting into the Chief Revenue Officer, with a direct report and full ownership of the P&L for a core product line, including new sales, reloads, and in-life revenue. You'll set the direction, build the team's models and frameworks, and be the senior voice on pricing across the business. Although this is a senior role, you'll be in the data from day one, rolling your sleeves up, building and running the models yourself. You'll genuinely enjoy getting hands on with the modelling, not just overseeing it from a distance.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning the enterprise-wide pricing strategy across retail, partner, and digital channels
- Leading policy-setting for pricing tests, commercial trials, and elasticity modelling
- Owning margin modelling, margin support frameworks, and revenue distribution across channels
- Owning channel distribution strategy and pricing architecture
- Leading competitor monitoring and market intelligence
- Owning pricing inputs into the Annual Operating Plan
- Leading a major product migration project, with full P&L accountability
- Ensuring pricing activity meets fair value and regulatory compliance standards
- Acting as the senior pricing voice with product, commercial, and finance stakeholders
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading pricing strategy and dynamic modelling of large, complex data sets
- 5+ years in pricing, revenue management, or commercial finance
- Demonstrable track record of financial/data modelling (Excel, SQL, Python or R)
- Proficient in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar is advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management and the gravitas to influence senior leadership
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Maths, or related field
- Solid understanding of FCA Consumer Duty and fair value frameworks, or equivalent regulatory experience
- Excellent communication skills are key, you'll need to translate complex pricing concepts for stakeholders at every level
