Our client is working with clients in the Defence and National Security space and they are looking for consultants to provide transformation and change advisory services. They will consider candidates with broad ‘people’ consulting skills, covering technical transformation and adoption, broader business and organisational change or HR advisory and change skills. You must have experience within the Defence/Security/Public Sector space to be considered for this role.
Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in the office/on site. You need to be happy to travel UK wide as well as this is a consulting role.
The Key Responsibilities of a Transformation Consultant:
- Work with clients in secure government and Defence industries to support and lead their clients through transformation and change projects.
- Develop engagement plans, production of deliverables and change management activities.
- Deliver projects/programmes across the following areas: Operating Model Design, Organisational Change, Strategic communications, cultural change (EDI, accessibility), digital transformation and technical adoption and change.
- Manage relationships with clients and get their ‘buy in’ for change implementation.
- Run workshops with clients and stakeholders.
- When required, lead programme strategy and set up, programme / portfolio delivery.
- Support progress reporting, risk management and financial controls in relation to the programme or workstream.
- Identify new opportunities within both existing and new clients and supporting proposals to win work.
- Support the development of our client’s propositions, solutions and methods, and industry points of view.
Key Skills required for the Transformation Consultant role:
- At the junior levels, consulting experience isn’t required but you will need to have worked within Defence or National Security or similar before.
- Some experience across at least one of the core areas of change: Operating Model Design, Organisational Change, Strategic communications, cultural change (EDI, accessibility), digital transformation and technical adoption and change.
- A ‘people focused’ mindset and ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders and users.
- Experience leading or supporting on critical or large-scale programmes.
- Consulting experience would be beneficial.
