The work spans digital delivery, operating model design, PMO setup, programme governance, capability development and more, so no two days look the same.
To be considered, you'll need proven experience delivering major programmes or transformation at a senior level within a consulting or professional services environment, backed by a genuine understanding of the Defence sector and its digital agenda; think AI, Cyber, Cloud, data and analytics. You'll also need to be someone who can win work, lead bids, build lasting client relationships and bring a team with you under pressure. SC or DV clearance is required.
Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 2-4 days on site per week and travel within the South.
The Key Responsibilities of a Digital Transformation Director:
- Lead client relationship development, identifying and pursuing opportunities with new and existing defence clients.
- Drive bid and proposal activity to grow the Business and Defence accounts.
- Lead the design and delivery of major programme transformation, including strategy, set-up and assurance reviews.
- Manage client engagements across digital delivery, operating model design, PMO setup and programme governance.
- Facilitate workshops and lead change management activities across complex, high-profile defence programmes.
- Build and develop external alliances with complementary organisations to strengthen market offerings.
- Contribute to the development of propositions, methods and thought leadership.
- Coach and lead multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure, fast-moving programme environments.
Key Skills required for a Digital Transformation Director:
- Proven experience delivering major programmes or transformation in a management consulting or professional services firm at senior level.
- Strong knowledge of the UK Defence sector, its organisation, and the digital procurement landscape.
- Solid understanding of key digital themes relevant to defence, including Cyber, AI, Cloud, data and analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead bids, proposals and pursuits to win new business.
- Experience generating new business through networking, pursuits and alliance development.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams effectively in complex, high-pressure environments.
