Working Patterns and location - 4 days per week on site

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development of robust business cases to support programme funding and approvals
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, benefits, costs, and delivery approach
  • Manage delivery across the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment to time, cost, and quality expectations
  • Navigate governance and assurance processes, ensuring compliance with defence standards
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Provide clear reporting and updates to senior stakeholders and programme boards
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful and timely delivery
  • Drive stakeholder engagement to secure buy-in and support at all levels

Skills & experience

  • Experience developing and managing business cases (OBC/FBC)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proven delivery experience within defence or secure environments
  • Good understanding of governance, assurance, and approvals processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience working across the full project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of government frameworks (e.g. Green Book)
  • Relevant project management certifications (PRINCE2, Agile, MSP)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
