Introduction
Our client is a large consultancy company working with the Government and Defence sectors on technology projects. They are seeking several Business Analysts on a permanent basis to ensure optimized performance. This is an exciting opportunity as they expand their projects in the Defence/Government sector. Candidates must have Defence/National Security experience.
Working Patterns: This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on site per week, with potential travel up to 4 days per week across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Defence and National Security clients to gather and document business requirements, ensuring clear understanding of needs and objectives.
- Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to collect requirements, user stories, and use cases.
- Document business processes, workflows, and system interactions to align with business goals.
- Translate requirements into functional specifications and user stories for development teams.
- Conduct data analysis to uncover trends and insights for decision-making and process enhancements.
- Define and implement product-centric operating models.
- Manage product ownership practices to ensure developed products meet client requirements.
- Perform impact assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate solutions and risks.
- Support testing and quality assurance activities to verify solutions meet requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients and stakeholders throughout projects.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Defence, Government, or National Security sectors.
- Track record of delivering business requirements in project environments.
- Strong analytical skills related to technology.
- Experience with process modeling, lean practices, use case development, and requirements elicitation.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe 5.0, LeSS.
- Consulting experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of analytical tools like PowerBI, Tableau, QlikSense.
- Expertise in testing against requirements to ensure quality outputs.
