Courseware Designer– Remote – 6 month Contract (40 Hours per week) – £50 – £55 Per hour (Inside IR35)– SC Clearance

Our client is looking for a Courseware Designer with experience designing training for the Military/Defence companies. (We also have a Courseware/Training Analyst available to analyse DSAT documentation data from training courses and deliver compliant training needs evaluations for the compilation of training solutions).

The ideal candidate will develop DSAT compliant courseware, so experience with DSAT is essential.

Working Patterns and location – This role is primarily remote with occasional travel to Reading a couple of times a month

The Key Responsibilities of a Courseware Designer:

* Manage and support the training courseware through the analysis, design, maintenance, review and production of DSAT Documentation & processes.

* Updating Training Design materials to incorporate relevant recommendations and feedback from internal and external assurance, to ensure that training remains up-to-date and satisfies operational/workplace performance requirements.

* Interviewing subject matter experts to collate required data.

* Participate in internal workshops to liaise with internal stakeholders to discuss findings.

* Conducting and maintaining training design, to incorporate health and safety, relevant rules and regulations, course length and required support and resources.

* Conducting and maintain Training Design in response to new training requirements to ensure courses are up to date.

* Identify opportunities to provide accreditation for new and/or amended training as designed, and/or any amendments or implications for existing accreditations following Training Design changes.

* Any other duties required to complete the CMDC Training Service.

Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Courseware Designer role, however you will not be expected to have everything:

* Excellent communication skills at all levels both internally and within the customer organisation.

* Experience in course design in the development and delivery environment and contributing to the design of training courses.

* A good working knowledge of the training design and development processes for training media.

* Experienced and capable of working autonomously and within a team.

* Strong knowledge of MOD procedures and a strong understanding oF Defence Systems Approach to training (DSAT)

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

* Experience in organisational design and development.

* Experience in the development of apprenticeship qualifications.

* Degree level education in a relevant area.

* Teaching and training development qualification at degree level.

* Human Resource Development qualification and experience.

* Membership of an appropriate professional body such as CIPD.
