The Key Responsibilities of a Programme Delivery Consultant
- Lead engineering workforce delivery through product management, Scrum Master and Dev Ops practices.
- Embed delivery excellence across project, programme and portfolio governance frameworks.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives including operating model design and scaled agile delivery.
- Shape and manage PMO functions including RAID, financial controls, planning and data visualisation.
- Design, mobilise and deliver large-scale technology-enabled transformation programmes end to end.
- Manage programme performance across scope, budget, risk, dependencies and outcomes.
- Build and grow client relationships, identifying new opportunities and supporting bid proposals.
- Contribute to the development of internal propositions, delivery methods and sector thought leadership.
Below is a list of Key Skills required for a Programme Delivery, however you will not be expected to have everything:
- Proven experience delivering technology-enabled projects or major programmes in a consulting or industry environment.
- Experience working within Defence, Security or Justice sectors, with strong understanding of the delivery landscape.
- Strong programme governance skills including planning, change management and critical artefact management.
- Commercial awareness across business case development, financial oversight and supplier ecosystems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary, fast-paced project environments.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Active UK SC or DV clearance, or eligibility and willingness to undergo DV.
- The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
- Experience in product management, Scrum Master or Dev Ops roles within technical delivery teams.
- Knowledge of scaled agile frameworks and experience leading agile transformation programmes.
- Background in business analysis or operating model design within government or defence contexts.
- Experience supporting or leading bid and proposal activity within a professional services environment.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as MSP, PRINCE2, APM PMQ or SAFe.
