Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their Transformation team within the Defence sector.

You'll be bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions across some of the UK's most ambitious and sensitive programmes.

You must already hold DV clearance to be considered for this role.

Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 3 days on site per week with Uk wide travel as required.

The Key Responsibilities of a Business Analyst

  • Collaborate with clients to understand business needs, challenges, and goals across complex programmes.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and meetings to gather and document requirements.
  • Analyse and map business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement through technology.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Support developers, testers, and technical architects to build, test, and improve solutions based on requirements.
  • Assist in designing and delivering change management strategies to support technology implementation.
  • Develop user training materials, guides, and communication plans to drive smooth technology adoption.
  • Prepare client-facing presentations, reports, and deliverables to support informed decision-making.

Below is a list of Key Skills required for a Business Analyst, however you will not be expected to have everything:

  • Proven experience in business analysis including requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews in a structured, client-facing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex information to varied audiences.
  • Experience managing client relationships, ideally within a consulting or client-facing role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Experience supporting or leading business development activity in the business analysis space.
  • The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
  • Background working in or alongside Defence & Security organisations or programmes.
  • Experience supporting Discovery phases and contributing to Product Roadmap development.
  • Familiarity with HR or organisational transformation programmes and related technologies.
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating technology adoption initiatives and recommending improvements.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as BCS Business Analysis or equivalent.
