Our client are a medium sized defence consultancy looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team.

They are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with 3 rd line expertise to join a secure MOD aligned project, providing hands on technical support.

Working Patterns and location – 1-2 days a month in Corsham, Birmingham or Loughborough

Key responsibilities

  • Build, configure and support Windows Server infrastructure
  • Provide technical support to a small team and elevate issues.
  • Deliver 3 rd line support within a live service environment.
  • Deploy and configure machines using SCCM/MECM
  • Create and maintain high quality technical documentation to high level technical standards.
  • Evolve operational procedures as the platform expands.

Skills & experience

  • Experience of HP Proliant Server and Storage
  • Understanding and application of SSL certificate management (desktop VPN and servers)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Windows server security, including implementing CIS benchmarks via GPO on to existing servers
