Our client is looking for a Principal Technical Learning Specialist with deep expertise in Data Science, GenAI, and Python to deliver and design high-quality technical training for Government and Defence clients. You'll need to be an exceptional trainer who can make complex content land with both technical and non-technical audiences. SC clearance is required for this role.
Working Patterns and location – Remote working with UK wide travel, up to 5 days per week.
The Key Responsibilities of an AI Trainer:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging technical training in Data Science, GenAI, and Python.
- Design and develop learner-centric courseware aligned to client requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain a Trainer Satisfaction Score (TSAT) of 88%+ and meet trainer observation benchmarks.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert, contributing to internal discussions and client learning programmes.
- Conduct peer observations and provide constructive feedback to support team improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to support shared goals and client requirements.
- Proactively maintain industry certifications and stay current with emerging tech and best practices.
Key Skills required for an AI Trainer:
- Proven experience delivering complex technical training in Data Science, Python, and GenAI.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques, GenAI concepts, and prompt engineering.
- Proficiency in Python programming with strong familiarity with the NumPy ecosystem.
- Ability to design and develop engaging, outcome-focused courseware for diverse audiences.
- Experience applying instructional design principles and adult learning theory to training materials.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical learners.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external teams.
- Track record of achieving high training satisfaction scores and using feedback to improve delivery.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
- Hands-on experience with leading AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience working alongside AI/ML engineers, data scientists, or other data professionals.
- Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- MSc or PhD in Data Science, AI, or Computer Science, or equivalent relevant certifications from GCP, AWS, or Azure.
