Overview: Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Wiltshire, with expected travel to Birmingham and Loughborough – 6 Month Contract – £445 - £495 per day Inside IR35 – SC Cleared.
Our client is a medium sized defence consultancy looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. They are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with 3rd line expertise to join a secure MOD aligned project, providing hands on technical support.
Working pattern and location: 1-2 days a month in Corsham, Birmingham or Loughborough.
Responsibilities:
- Build, configure and support Windows Server infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to a small team and escalate issues.
- Deliver 3rd line support within a live service environment.
- Deploy and configure machines using SCCM/MECM.
- Create and maintain high quality technical documentation to high level technical standards.
- Evolve operational procedures as the platform expands.
Key Skills:
- Experience of HP Proliant Server and Storage.
- Understanding and application of SSL certificate management (desktop VPN and servers).
- Knowledge and understanding of Windows server security, including implementing CIS benchmarks via GPO on to existing servers.
