Our client are a medium sized defence consultancy looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. They are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with 3rd line expertise to join a secure MOD aligned project, providing hands on technical support.
Working Patterns and location: 1-2 days a month in Corsham, Birmingham or Loughborough
Key responsibilities:
- Build, configure and support Windows Server infrastructure
- Provide technical support to a small team and elevate issues.
- Deliver 3rd line support within a live service environment.
- Deploy and configure machines using SCCM/MECM
- Create and maintain high quality technical documentation to high level technical standards.
- Evolve operational procedures as the platform expands.
Skills & experience:
- Experience of HP Proliant Server and Storage
- Understanding and application of SSL certificate management (desktop VPN and servers)
- Knowledge and understanding of Windows server security, including implementing CIS benchmarks via GPO on to existing servers
