Position Summary

The Program Manager leads the most complex, strategic, and enterprise-level implementation programs for the Professional Services team.

This role manages multiple related projects, large-scale customer rollouts, strategic accounts, and cross-functional initiatives associated with implementing the company’s Saa S Inventory Workflow Management solution.

The Program Manager is accountable for overall program success, executive stakeholder alignment, delivery consistency, financial performance, risk governance, and scalable implementation practices.

This role operates at both strategic and execution levels, ensuring that programs deliver measurable customer value while protecting services margin and organizational capacity.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery
  • Lead enterprise-scale Saa S implementation programs involving multiple projects, phases, locations, business units, or customer stakeholder groups.
  • Establish overall program structure, delivery roadmap, governance model, milestone plan, and success criteria.
  • Coordinate multiple project plans into an integrated program plan.
  • Manage dependencies across implementation workstreams, integrations, customer teams, internal departments, and third-party vendors.
  • Oversee delivery execution across Professional Services, Product, Engineering, Support, Customer Success, Sales, and customer leadership teams.
  • Ensure program outcomes align with customer business objectives and contracted commitments.
  • Drive resolution of complex delivery challenges that span multiple teams or projects.
  • Perform solution delivery roles and responsibilities such as requirements discovery, business analysis, solution design, and system configuration, data integration, and testing as needed.
  • Customer Communication
  • Serve as the senior implementation leader for strategic customer programs.
  • Own executive-level communication with customer sponsors, steering committees, and internal leadership.
  • Lead program governance meetings, executive business reviews, escalation meetings, and strategic alignment sessions.
  • Communicate program health, risks, dependencies, financial status, and decision points.
  • Manage customer expectations across long-term implementation timelines and phased deployments.
  • Build trust with executive stakeholders through transparency, business acumen, and disciplined follow-through.
  • Scope Management
  • Collaborate with customers, sales, and internal stakeholders to create Statements of Work (SOWs) and lead delivery activities to ensure commitments are fulfilled on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Govern program scope across multiple projects, phases, or workstreams.
  • Ensure all work aligns to contracts, SOWs, change orders, and agreed implementation methodology.
  • Identify scope expansion opportunities and partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services leadership as appropriate.
  • Evaluate complex change requests for impact to delivery timeline, resource capacity, margin, customer outcomes, and contractual commitments.
  • Ensure formal approvals are obtained before expanded work begins.
  • Protect program profitability while maintaining a strong customer relationship.
  • Risk & Issue Management
  • Establish and manage program-level risk, issue, decision, and dependency governance.
  • Identify systemic risks across projects, accounts, resources, methodology, integrations, or customer readiness.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans for high-impact risks.
  • Escalate critical issues with clear recommendations, ownership, timing, and business impact.
  • Prevent program failures by identifying early indicators of timeline, budget, adoption, readiness, or quality concerns.
  • Ensure risks and decisions are visible to the right executive stakeholders.
  • Resource Coordination
  • Coordinate resource planning across multiple projects and workstreams.
  • Partner with Professional Services leadership on staffing strategy, utilization, capacity planning, and prioritization.
  • Identify resource gaps or conflicts that could impact delivery commitments.
  • Balance customer program needs with broader Professional Services team capacity.
  • Support workforce planning by identifying future skill, role, or capacity needs.
  • Ensure project teams have the right people assigned to the right activities at the right time.
  • Financial Management
  • Own program-level budget, financial forecast, services margin, invoicing milestones, and delivery profitability.
  • Monitor project and program burn rates, remaining effort, revenue recognition milestones, and financial exposure.
  • Identify margin risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Ensure change orders are pursued when work exceeds scope or contracted assumptions.
  • Partner with Finance and Professional Services leadership on financial reporting and forecast accuracy.
  • Use program financial insights to improve future estimating and delivery models.
  • Governance & Reporting
  • Define and lead governance models for strategic implementations.
  • Conduct executive steering committee meetings with customer and internal leadership.
  • Maintain program health dashboards, executive summaries, and decision logs.
  • Provide leadership with accurate, concise, and proactive visibility into program status.
  • Ensure no surprise escalations by communicating risks, trade-offs, and decisions early.
  • Present options and recommendations to resolve strategic delivery challenges.
  • Implementation Quality
  • Ensure consistent implementation quality across all projects and workstreams within the program.
  • Govern adherence to Professional Services methodology, project phase gates, readiness criteria, testing, training, and go-live controls.
  • Validate UAT, SIT, operational readiness, user readiness, support readiness, and customer adoption plans.
  • Oversee cutover planning for large-scale or phased deployments.
  • Ensure post-go-live stabilization and transition plans are in place.
  • Lead lessons learned and continuous improvement activities after major implementations.
  • Leadership, Coaching & Process Improvement
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.
  • Establish delivery standards, tools, templates, dashboards, and governance practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve implementation methodology, scalability, profitability, and customer experience.
  • Influence cross-functional alignment across departments.
  • Support Professional Services leadership in portfolio prioritization, delivery planning, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for program governance and complex implementation delivery.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
