We are seeking a UK‑based Account Director to develop strong, trusted relationships with key pharma clients and to champion their business priorities across Datapharm. This is a high‑profile role offering the opportunity to work closely with some of the world’s largest and most innovative pharmaceutical companies. Reporting to the Head of Key Account Management, this role will be instrumental in retaining, developing, and growing relationships and business with our UK Pharma clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a trusted advisor to customers, building a deep understanding of customer strategy and priorities.
- Clearly articulate customers' current and future business needs, both internally and externally.
- Own overall business development and financial performance for assigned accounts.
- Lead the contract renewal process, including commercial negotiation.
- Drive new business growth through increased customer advocacy.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships across all relevant customer functions.
- Manage internal stakeholders to ensure delivery against customer goals.
- Capture, review, and continually improve customer engagement through KPIs and structured account reviews.
- Act as the primary escalation point for customer issues and feedback.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in complex, B2B SaaS account management.
- Experience of working within the pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
- Strong grounding in account management principles.
- Highly organised and detail oriented, with the ability to prioritise and take the initiative.
- Commercially minded with strong business acumen and analytical capability.
- Ability to build an excellent working relationship with all stakeholders, including management and operational teams.
- Confident presenter, able to clearly articulate technology-led solutions.
- Based in London or the South East, or able to travel frequently to the area.
