Salary: £31,000 - 66,000 per year

Requirements:

  • We are looking for a skilled and motivated Linux Engineer with experience in embedded and server environments.
  • We expect strong end-to-end ownership of embedded Linux-based solutions, from design through deployment and ongoing support.
  • We require a proactive approach to security, with systems hardened and resilient by design.
  • We value broad infrastructure knowledge to manage and maintain our DevOps hardware estate.
  • We want experience and a passion for automation, including monitoring, reporting and DevOps pipelines.
  • We need confidence acting as a technical escalation point, with a collaborative approach to knowledge-sharing.
  • We expect clear and structured communication, including high-quality technical documentation.
  • We look for analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • We need adaptability and self-motivation, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver independently.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be able to demonstrate ongoing eligibility for at least 3 years from the proposed start date.

Responsibilities:

  • We design, build and maintain secure, high-availability AV-over-IP hardware and virtual appliances for enterprise environments.
  • We manage system images, releases, upgrades and patching across the full product lifecycle.
  • We implement robust security hardening for highly secure embedded systems.
  • We contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of build pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • We support continuous delivery and system reliability within a collaborative, DevOps-focused environment.
  • We contribute to wider infrastructure maintenance across the site, focusing on build and test servers, networking and general configuration.
  • We act as a key technical escalation point and work closely with Support to transfer knowledge and improve long-term maintainability.
  • We produce clear, high-quality documentation.
  • We help solve complex infrastructure challenges and improve systems over time.
