Domain Experts work with Dataminr’s AI platform in real time ensuring the alerts and intelligence we send to our clients are of the best possible quality. They use deep human expertise to examine and analyze our data feeds, annotate, label, and edit signals in real time, and serve as an integral part of our algorithm training process and advanced human‑AI feedback loop that enhances our AI models. This role is open as remote in the United Kingdom or Ireland, or hybrid. It requires core hours of 7:00 am – 3:00 pm GMT in a real‑time information environment and rotational weekend work, as well as projects and meetings outside of business hours.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert on cybersecurity events and emerging cyber risks and the related source environment and data sets.
- Monitor and analyze the quality of our data feeds.
- Annotate and label complex real‑time events, making decisions with incomplete data.
- Own and develop projects to improve performance of AI models and AI tooling in the real‑time event detection space.
- Collaborate and communicate about daily priorities in a team‑centric environment.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Cybersecurity, Defense or Strategic Studies, International Relations, Political Science, or a closely related field.
- Strong online research skills and ability to monitor and analyze data in a fast‑paced environment in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- Understanding of geopolitical risk and global events.
- Passion for breaking news, current world events, technology, and a deep familiarity with social media and publicly available data.
- Ability to interpret and succinctly describe ongoing, complex events with incomplete data.
- Fluency with AI tools and large language models, and experience using them to solve problems, improve workflows, and increase efficiencies.
