You're a highly motivated and experienced solution sales professional with a proven track record of selling in the public sector and passionate about contributing to a fast growth tech company. You're an expert in networking, breaking into new markets and building long term customer relationships that support the ambitious growth plans of Dataminr in the International Defence market. This position will play a leading role in our next expansion phase!

As an Account Executive in the International Defence Team at Dataminr you'll use your skills and experience to discover and win new business and strategically develop accounts in the European Union, France & Belgium. This role requires professional fluency in French and can be based remotely in either the UK, Denmark or Ireland with business travel expected at the 35-50% mark.

The opportunity:

  • Plan and execute strategic and tactical sales capture plans to drive new customer growth across International Defence and ensure coverage of quarterly and annual targets.
  • Build and maintain excellent, long-term customer partnerships and create a network of key influencers and decision-makers to drive demand.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases, internal decision-making nuances, and budget cycles necessary to win business.
  • Provide thought leadership to generate demand for Dataminr's Real Time Alerting products and identify ways to integrate them into customer workflows.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting on a quarterly basis.
  • Act as a sector subject matter expert, advising on strategic and tactical sales recommendations based on competitive activity, trends, and innovations.

What you bring:

  • Expertise in prospecting, identifying and developing multiple use cases, and cultivating strong relationships with senior leaders in the military community. A former Military background would be a plus.
  • French language fluency.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of successful enterprise software or SaaS sales experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of success selling technology solutions, negotiation, and closing strategic opportunities within the Defence/Military sector, particularly in the European defence sector.
  • Adept at strategically navigating and influencing all customer stakeholders in the buying process (users, influencers, and budget decision makers).
  • Exceptional communication skills for establishing clear value propositions through customer conversations, presentations, and written proposals.
  • A good understanding of open source information for public sector benefit, and possession of appropriate security clearance to operate within the client base.
  • Willing to travel on an expected 35-50% basis.
