About the role We are seeking a talented Lead Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Analytics team within the Data department. This role will have line management responsibilities, and will be responsible for leading the delivery of Business Intelligence across the company. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we have the right data, visualisations, insights, and analytics to support the growth of our business.
As Lead BI Analyst you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of our Business Intelligence strategy
- Develop and maintain key BI metrics, dashboards and reports that provide insights across Digital, Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain and other core areas
- Provide thought leadership on BI trends and emerging technologies
- Support the adoption of BI tools across the business, by imparting knowledge and/or upskilling colleagues on all that is possible through our tools
- Provide mentorship and coaching to the BI team
- Work closely with Data Engineering, Customer Insights Data Science and Product Management teams to ensure alignment and collaboration
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the business
Key Selection Criteria:
- 5+ years experience in Business Intelligence
- Experience as a Business Intelligence Developer/ BI Engineer/Data Analyst or similar
- Expertise in Looker (or similar BI platform) and GCP or similar cloud platform
- You use SQL in your day-to-day work. This is incredibly important
- Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from complex data sets
- Proven understanding of how data is modelled for the purposes of BI visualisation
- Have an active interest in novel approaches for data visualisation from simple dashboards through to engaging & impactful graphical illustrations
- Experience in leading a team of Analysts
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Be a driven and creative problem-solver, with the ability to advise our broader business on how they can best use the data we have available
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.
