About us: We are Allwyn UK, part of the Allwyn Entertainment Group – a multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence in Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Cyprus, and Italy. We have been officially awarded the Fourth Licence (10-year licence) to operate the National Lottery starting February 2024.

Role Purpose: We are seeking an experienced, commercially-focused accountant and business partner to manage the Marketing & Product budget. This includes accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business partnering with the Marketing & Product Team. Costs include Marketing, Product, and People expenses. The role offers scope to be involved in commercial projects and in the creation and development of new reporting processes. The successful candidate will work across multiple workstreams and projects, providing finance support to new initiatives, and identifying growth and cost-saving opportunities to maximize returns to Good Causes and company profit.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Own all month-end, budget, and reforecast processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Apply clear financial controls – capture and understand financial assumptions.
  • Maintain concise ownership of the balance sheet, Risks & Ops, and GRIR balances.
  • Own month-end performance updates, including detailed analysis and commentary to communicate performance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage resource requests and present at bi-weekly meetings.
  • Validate people costs reporting.
  • Communicate effectively within Finance, working closely with FP&A and Cost teams.
  • Provide financial modelling and reporting as required.
  • Support the Marketing Scorecard.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to simplify and accelerate current processes.
  • Develop reporting packs to track actual spend versus budget/forecast, upcoming spend, risks, and opportunities.
  • Offer financial support and guidance for ad-hoc initiative queries.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Graduate to support their development by handing over some BAU processing.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Advanced Excel modelling and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Business partnering experience – ability to work cross-functionally with finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage upward communication.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Understanding of the Lottery/Gaming industry is advantageous.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems such as forecasting and data visualisation tools.
  • SAP/SAC/BPC experience is a plus.
