The ACCS department specialises in the design, manufacturing and installation of aisle containment and caging in data centres. We are seeking a 3D Modeller and CAD/CAM Engineer to join our team. This role will learn all aspects of engineering, increase product knowledge, and assist the Engineering Manager in completing tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce CAD drawings according to client specifications.
- Produce production drawings using CAM software.
- Carry out detailed site surveys in data centres, including taking accurate measurements of data halls for cage, CAC and HAC layouts.
- Translate site survey data and measurements into precise CAD drawings and production information.
- Work with a design engineer and individually on the design and development of new products.
- Continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
- Interdepartmental support and communication.
- Work independently and provide engineering solutions.
- Create production drawings using CAD software.
- Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company and group policies and procedures.
- Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Office.
- Strong AutoCAD skills, with the ability to produce accurate 2D layout and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and/or Radan is a bonus.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different tasks.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of engineering principles.
