We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Internal Recruiter to support our continued growth. Initially, the role will focus on recruiting high-quality candidates into our own organisation, including apprenticeship coordinators, tutors, coaches, and administration staff.
As the role develops, the successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our recruitment services to external legal clients, supporting them to recruit talent into legal, compliance, and support roles and aligning those hires with our apprenticeship and funded training programmes.
This is a growth role with clear progression into a client-facing recruitment and business development function.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Recruitment
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for internal vacancies, including apprenticeship coordinators, tutors and coaches, administration and support staff.
- Screen prospective applicants to assess suitability, skills, and qualifications and conduct telephone and video interviews.
- Ensure candidates are an excellent cultural and professional fit for the organisation whilst maintaining accurate records by entering CVs and candidate details into the company database.
- Support hiring managers with shortlisting and interview coordination.
- Job Advertising & Talent Attraction
- Produce clear, engaging job descriptions and adverts.
- Post vacancies across appropriate job boards, social platforms, and networks.
- Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn and other recruitment tools, building and maintain talent pools for future vacancies.
- External Recruitment & Client Services (Expansion of Role)
- Support the rollout of a recruitment service for legal and professional services clients.
- Work with law firms and legal teams to understand their recruitment needs and promote apprenticeship-led recruitment as a cost-effective workforce solution.
- Match candidates to client vacancies with a strong focus on retention and development and headhunt candidates for specialist and senior roles where required.
- Act as a trusted point of contact between candidates, clients, and internal training teams and be the first point of call for unemployed/Student enquiries to apprenticeship opportunities.
- Business Development
- Cold call and engage with prospective client organisations to promote recruitment services.
- Attend meetings with new and existing clients to develop recruitment partnerships.
- Identify opportunities to link recruitment activity to apprenticeship and training programmes.
- Achieve monthly recruitment and business development targets.
- Support the long-term growth of a legal recruitment and workforce solutions offering.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in recruitment, resourcing, talent acquisition, or business development.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence in speaking with candidates and clients at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness and target-driven mindset.
- Excellent organisational and database management skills.
