We are hiring an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a strategic Risk Technology transformation programme for an esteemed New York based hedge fund client.

This role will focus on driving project execution, maintaining delivery governance and coordinating the migration from legacy technology to a modern risk platform.

Working closely with senior technology leadership, developers, quantitative teams and business stakeholders, you will ensure projects remain on track, risks are managed proactively and progress is communicated effectively from delivery teams through to executive management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Track project status, risks, issues, actions, and blockers, ensuring timely escalation where required.
  • Produce executive reporting and Power Point presentations for senior leadership and programme governance forums.
  • Maintain clear traceability between detailed project activities and executive-level reporting.
  • Drive day-to-day programme organisation, ensuring strong delivery discipline across teams.
  • Manage and maintain Jira boards, ensuring tickets are up to date and accurately reflect delivery progress.
  • Create and utilise JQL queries and dashboards to monitor programme health, team performance, risks, and delivery metrics.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, project meetings, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate release planning, system integrations, and migration activities as the organisation transitions from legacy technology to a new platform.
  • Identify cross-functional dependencies and ensure effective collaboration across development, quantitative, and business teams.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, adaptable and capable of working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

They will be a proactive problem solver who can identify potential conflicts, gaps or risks early and elevate them before they become delivery issues.

Client-facing experience is highly valued, as is the ability to communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience within financial services and technology-driven environments is strongly preferred.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Approximately 5+ years project management experience, ideally within Financial Services, Capital Markets, Banking, Fin Tech or Technology environments.
