This is a volunteer and remote role for a Community Manager. The Community Manager will oversee the planning and execution of community engagement initiatives, build and strengthen relationships with members and mentors, and manage communication across various platforms. Responsibilities include:
- Organizing virtual events
- Moderating discussions
- Managing social media strategies
- Ensuring a supportive and inclusive community
- Supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of new mentors and mentees
Qualifications:
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships within the community
- Experience in social media management, content creation, and event planning
- Proven ability to organize and lead community engagement programs
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion practices, specifically in supporting women in the tech and data fields
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for community engagement (e.g., Slack, social media, and virtual event platforms)
