A well-known retail brand is hiring a Head of Omnichannel Technology to bring together the key systems that run its online and in-store customer experience. This is not a strategy-heavy or director-level role - it’s a steady, hands-on leadership position focused on making sure the business’s website, stores, ERP, and operations work smoothly together. The tech team is already in place - you won’t be doing everything yourself — your job is to join the dots, provide structure, and keep delivery moving without friction. The environment is traditional, collaborative, and people-first - ready to transform!
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Overseeing omnichannel operations across website, stores, and customer service.
- Working closely with specialists in ERP, POS, and OMS.
- Ensuring these systems connect properly (stock, orders, fulfilment, returns, payments).
- Coordinating priorities across digital, merchandising, retail operations, and supply chain.
- Managing budgets, vendors, licences, and ensuring responsible spend across the tech estate.
- Providing steady leadership to the existing team, improving communication and delivery flow.
- Helping the business make practical, sensible decisions — not overcomplicating things.
- Supporting small improvements to stability, integrations, reporting, and customer experience.
- Acting as the “glue” between teams.
You Will Succeed If You Have:
- Omnichannel retail experience (eCommerce + stores OR contact centre).
- Exposure to ERP.
- Experience with POS, OMS, fulfilment flows, and stock movement.
- Recent hands-on experience (“the doing”) and now ready to step up into Head of.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to keep teams aligned in a traditional environment.
- The confidence to say, “Let’s pause and think.”
Why This Is a Great Step-Up Role:
- A rare chance to lead omnichannel tech without needing a director-level background.
- You’ll shape how online + stores work together in a respected retail brand.
- You’ll inherit capable specialists, so you’re leading, not firefighting alone.
- A stable business with long-term plans and real traction.
- Ideal for someone who’s been doing omnichannel delivery for 3–6 years and is ready to lead.
