A global insurer is undergoing a major data transformation, including a transition to Snowflake. We’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of their finance data warehouse and reporting platform, working directly with the business to solve real data challenges.

The Role

  • This is a hands-on senior IC role with a clear path into technical leadership.
  • You’ll sit within a finance-focused data squad, helping to:
  • Improve data quality, structure and reliability across finance reporting
  • Design and build Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions
  • Work directly with stakeholders to define solutions, not just implement them
  • Reduce incidents, improve delivery speed, and raise engineering standards
  • Guide and mentor an offshore engineering team

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong data warehousing experience (modelling, ETL/ELT, pipelines)
  • Hands-on with Snowflake, SQL and Python
  • Experience in AWS (or similar cloud)
  • Background in insurance or financial services (Lloyd’s ideal)
  • Confident working with business stakeholders and challenging requirements
  • Someone who takes ownership and improves how things are done
