Datacenter People is a specialized recruitment company working with a leading M&E construction engineering company in the UK. Reporting to the Regional Technical Director, the Digital Engineering Project Lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of all Digital Engineering and pre-fabrication activities across assigned projects. The role ensures that these activities are delivered within the agreed scope, budget, and timeline, supporting the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination and Representation - Act as the primary Digital Engineering representative at the project level for both internal and external stakeholders, managing all related activities for the Business Unit.
- Scope, Cost, and Programme Management - Oversee and align the scope, budget, and timeline of Digital Engineering, coordination, and prefabrication work with the original proposal.
- Technical Support and Quality Assurance - Provide design and coordination advice across all project stages, ensuring technical quality, compliance with BIM standards, and integration of DFMA principles.
- Team Leadership and Strategic Support - Lead and develop the BU Digital Team, support strategic Digital Engineering initiatives, and ensure adherence to ISO19650 accreditation standards. Chairing and coordinating Project and Design workshops.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Confident and collaborative leader with exceptional communication skills.
- Strong MEP experience.
- Deep expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM), Digital Engineering technologies, ISO 19650 standards, and modern construction methods.
- Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, supervising project teams, and ensuring high-quality, value-driven outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
- Experience with ISO19650, Autodesk Revit, BIM colab.
- HNC/HND in building services beneficial but not essential.
