We’re working with a specialist technology consultancy looking for an experienced Juniper Network Consultant to support complex enterprise infrastructure programmes. This is a senior, client-facing role suited to someone with strong Juniper networking experience and advanced knowledge of enterprise routing, switching and firewalling. You’ll be working on technically challenging environments, helping clients design, deliver and improve secure, resilient network infrastructure. This is a fully remote role with limited travel.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver complex enterprise network solutions
  • Work across Juniper networking environments, ideally including SRX, EX, QFX and/or Mist
  • Support advanced routing and switching across enterprise and datacentre environments
  • Design, configure or advise on firewalling, segmentation, VPNs and secure connectivity
  • Produce HLDs, LLDs and technical documentation
  • Act as a technical authority across network infrastructure projects
  • Engage with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support network transformation, datacentre and hybrid connectivity projects
  • Work alongside cloud, infrastructure and platform teams where required

Required skills

  • Strong Juniper networking experience, ideally across SRX, EX/QFX and/or Mist
  • Advanced routing and switching knowledge
  • Strong firewalling and network security experience
  • Experience with technologies such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, segmentation and high availability
  • Ability to produce HLD / LLD documentation
  • Experience working in complex enterprise environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and consultancy skills

Useful experience

  • Juniper Mist, wired/wireless assurance or cloud-managed networking
  • JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP or equivalent Juniper experience
  • Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point or other enterprise networking/security technologies
  • Public cloud networking across AWS, Azure, GCP or Oracle Cloud
  • Datacentre migration, cloud connectivity or hybrid infrastructure projects
  • Terraform, Ansible or infrastructure-as-code exposure
  • Active SC clearance

About you

You will be someone who is comfortable operating beyond day-to-day support. You should be able to understand complex network environments, challenge designs, advise customers and remain technically credible with engineering teams. You don't need to be purely Juniper-focused, but you should have enough hands-on Juniper experience to operate confidently in environments where Juniper networking is a key part of the estate. Juniper Mist experience would be advantageous, but broader Juniper routing, switching and firewall experience across SRX, EX or QFX is equally relevant. This is a good opportunity for a senior network professional who wants varied project work across complex enterprise, public sector, defence, financial services or critical infrastructure environments.
