The Role:
This role joins a leading global IT solutions provider, delivering IT solutions into high profile UK Government organisations. Reporting to the Test Practice Lead, your role will include:
- The successful delivery of testing for projects covering all levels of testing including manual and automation/functional and non-functional testing.
- Responsibility for allocated test deliverables, performing analysis activities during test preparation and test execution including recording the results and reporting issues through the agreed defect management process.
- Manage the production, quality and accuracy of all relevant test artefacts.
- Provide Validation and verification of test inputs, functional specifications, requirements etc. for testability, ambiguity and completeness.
- Produce test artefacts, Test Cases, Expected Results, Actual Results, Defects, Data, Defect Re-tests and Test Outcome Reports.
Core Skills:
- 5+ years test Automation experience
- Active SC Clearance
- Strong well developed testing skills and in-depth knowledge of current testing techniques across the test phases (System, System Integration, Regression, UAT, etc)
- Strong experience and knowledge of testing lifecycle and approaches (e.g. functional / non-functional / automation) and of automation testing using technologies such as Selenium, Cucumber, SpecFlow).
- Residence near to either Bristol or London for the occasional on-site work
- C# development skills for the purpose of software testing.
- Strong communication and team skills
- Experience and understanding of waterfall, agile and hybrid development methodologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical communities and "non-technical" senior management (internally and externally).
