We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared Business Architect for a leading technology consultancy on an initial 6 month contract. The Business Architect will support a major transformation programme.
This role is focused on shaping and delivering business architecture that underpins the client's future operating model, ensuring strategy, processes and capabilities are fully aligned to achieve mission objectives. You'll play a pivotal role in developing a clear and coherent view of the customers enterprise landscape - helping to define how strategic intent is translated into effective, integrated solutions.
This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work 2 days a week onsite in Andover. Valid SC clearance is essential, and previous MOD / Army experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to Army transformation work from a business architecture perspective.
- Apply recognised architecture frameworks, principles and techniques to develop clear, actionable designs.
- Simplify complex organisational challenges into structured, strategic models and recommendations.
- Advise senior Army stakeholders on the implementation of strategy and transformation initiatives.
- Define and maintain business principles, standards, patterns, policies, roadmaps and vision statements.
- Develop and communicate enterprise-level views to support Army decision-making and capability planning.
- Provide specialist advice and thought leadership based on deep business architecture experience.
- Support pre-sales and proposal activities related to Defence and Army programmes.
- Collaborate closely with technical, operational and programme delivery teams to ensure end-to-end coherence.
- Proven experience as a Business Architect within Defence or Army programmes.
- Strong familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or BizBOK.
- TOGAF certified, with practical experience applying the framework in live environments.
- Hands-on experience with modelling tools such as Sparx EA or Bizzdesign.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior Defence personnel.
- Analytical and strategic mindset, able to translate business complexity into actionable insight.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and delivery-focused.
