We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared Project Manager for a leading technology. In this role you will work closely with central government and public sector organisations to support the delivery of software and digital solutions for external customers.
This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager who has experience delivering small-scale projects or workstreams within a structured project environment and is looking to develop further within a professional delivery function.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting and delivering projects from initiation through to closure, working closely with senior project managers, technical teams, suppliers, and client stakeholders. On smaller projects (typically under £100k), you may take full ownership of delivery, including scope, resources, budget, and outcomes.
Due to the nature of projects valid SC Clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Deliver multiple small projects end-to-end or support a Senior Project Manager on larger programmes
- Ensure projects follow defined delivery frameworks and governance processes
- Manage project teams and third-party suppliers to deliver agreed outcomes
- Ensure smooth handover into support at project closure
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Build strong working relationships with customer and internal stakeholders
- Support customers through change and adoption of delivered solutions
- Planning & Governance
- Produce and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and documentation
- Track progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation where required
- Provide clear and accurate status reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Financial Management
- Manage project budgets and cost tracking
- Produce forecasts and financial updates to support commercial objectives
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and relevant security or regulatory requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practice sharing
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years' experience delivering projects, ideally for external customers
- Experience delivering software or digital solutions
- Understanding of the software delivery lifecycle
- Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills
- Experience managing scope, schedule, risks, and resources
- Exposure to change management activities
- Confident producing project documentation, reports, and forecasts
- Experience using tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint
Desirable
- PRINCE2 and/or Agile/Scrum certification
- Experience working with public sector clients
- Exposure to data platforms or data delivery frameworks
