AWS Cloud Engineer Permanent Location: UK - Remote Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (+ on call)

We're looking to recruit an SC & NPPV3 Cleared Cloud Engineer to join a leading technology consultancy. This is a hands-on role supporting a range of cloud and infrastructure services across AWS and Azure environments. You'll work with modern technologies, gain exposure to enterprise-scale systems, and collaborate closely with senior engineers in a supportive, secure setting. This is a fully remote role with minimal travel. Due to the nature of the projects, valid SC Clearance is essential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting cloud and infrastructure services across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
  • Resolving incidents and service requests escalated from the Service Desk.
  • Collaborating with engineers and project teams to maintain secure, resilient, and compliant systems.
  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Updating and maintaining support documentation and technical runbooks.
  • Assisting with the transition of new systems from project delivery into BAU.
  • Occasionally helping with physical infrastructure tasks (e.g. hardware swaps).

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with AWS and familiar with Azure
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2012 R2 - 2022).
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 administration and setup.
  • Basic knowledge of virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Interest in or experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Some scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, or Python) beneficial.
  • Active SC Clearance (essential).
