Asset Analyst
6 Month Contract
Location: Kidlington (Office Based)
We are looking to recruit an Asset Analyst on an initial 6 month contract for a leading public sector organisation. This is an office based role in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and report on ICT assets (hardware and software) in line with ITILv3 Asset Management processes, ensuring the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is accurate and up to date.
- Support the onboarding and changes of new ICT assets and ensure their integration into the CMDB via the Change Management process.
- Conduct periodic audits of ICT assets, visiting locations as required, to ensure accurate recording and take corrective action where necessary.
- Provide guidance and support on ICT Asset Management processes across the organisation.
- Produce accurate reports for senior management to support key business decisions.
- Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Excel, Visio, and data analysis.
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel to multiple locations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including external vendors.
- Knowledge of software license procurement and renewal processes.
- Ability to work flexibly, including unsocial hours if required.
- Experience in ITIL Asset Management or a professional qualification in the field.
- Understanding of hardware lifecycle and disposal processes.
