About the role
As a Curriculum Manager β Data Science and Data Engineering, you will directly contribute to DataCamp\βs mission to democratize data education by helping build the best platform to learn data and AI skills. In this role, you\βll work closely with expert instructors and internal stakeholders across curriculum, engineering, product, and marketing to improve and continue to expand our data science and data engineering curriculum. With strong technical competency in Python and SQL, and the ability to lead and influence across functional groups, you\βll develop impactful content that gives learners the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving data landscape.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will focus your time on the following areas:
- Manage the entire content development lifecycle and deadlines.
 - Source and recruit top-tier instructors who are subject matter experts.
 - Collaborate with instructors to create engaging content.
 - Design, review, and create content covering data science and data engineering topics. You will review content from a learner perspective, ensuring it is technically accurate and pedagogically effective.
 - Work with cross-functional teams to enable content creation for more advanced technical topics.
 - Continuously assess course performance using learner feedback and engagement data to drive improvements.
 - Own your portion of the curriculum roadmap.
 - Identify and prioritize existing curriculum gaps or new topics in data science and data engineering.
 - Identify opportunities and develop AI workflows to optimize content creation and enhance quality.
 
Qualifications
- Strong technical background in Python and SQL.
 - Experience using at least one Data Engineering technology (ie, Snowflake, dbt, Java, Airflow, Kafka, etc.).
 - Experience in topics like deep learning, natural language processing, database design, and data and machine learning pipelines.
 - Experience and interest in learning new tools and technologies.
 - Experience in a technical education role or educational content creation.
 - Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
 - Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
