Senior Technical Instructor role at Databricks.

The Senior Technical Instructor at Databricks will be a member of the Learning and Enablement organization. This role is integral to enhancing the technical skills and knowledge of the Databricks community, which includes internal teams, partners, and customers. The Senior Technical Trainer will primarily be responsible for the delivery of technical training programs that align with the organization\’s objectives and strategies. As a Senior Technical Trainer you will create engaging and effective learning experiences catering to various learning styles and levels of technical expertise. This role involves facilitating both virtual and in-person training sessions and potentially traveling to different locations to conduct training. The trainer will also play a pivotal role in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs, providing feedback for improvement, and staying abreast with the latest Databricks products and industry trends to ensure the curriculum remains relevant. Additionally, this role will be responsible for delivering internal sales enablement training targeted at newly hired Bricksters in the Field Engineering organization.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Deliver comprehensive technical training programs related to Databricks\’ products and services.
  • Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to understand training needs and create tailored training programs to meet those needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs through feedback surveys, assessments, and observations, and revise the curriculum as needed.
  • Significant time will be spent learning new training programs and staying current on the latest updates from Databricks and the industry.
  • Provide guidance and support to learners during the training process and handle any queries or issues that arise.
  • Contribute to the development of self-paced online learning modules and other training resources.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives to expand the Learning and Enablement product portfolio.
  • Audit operational aspects like the day-to-day administration of training programs, including scheduling, coordinating resources, and managing participant enrollment.
  • Active participation in curation of training resources, such as manuals, guides, and online tutorials.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to candidates Databricks Certified Instructors
  • Organize and lead train-the-trainer sessions to scale your expertise

What We Look For

  • Proficiency with Databricks\’ products, platform, and tools.

  • Experience with at least one programming language such as Python and SQL
  • Knowledge of data engineering and data science concepts, including machine learning and artificial intelligence.

  • Experience with pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture and/or sales enablement

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor\’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a focus on Machine Learning, or AI (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role, such as technical training or technical roles in data engineering, data science, solutions architect, pre-sales engineering, or software development.
  • Databricks Data Engineer Associate OR Databricks Machine Learning Associate certification is preferred but not required.
