Job Description

As EMEA Senior Legal Counsel, you will join the rapidly growing global legal team supporting Databricks' business activities. You will work on diverse matters including:

  • Developing our business across multiple jurisdictions
  • Negotiating commercial contracts
  • Addressing security and privacy issues

You should be agile, highly organized, and possess the skills, drive, and flexibility to support and accelerate this leading technology company, tackling cutting-edge legal issues and organizational challenges.

The impact you will have:

  • Drafting and negotiating complex, non-standard agreements
  • Advising sales teams on deal processes and contract management
  • Leading French localisation OKR projects
  • Understanding product, data security, and privacy issues to guide negotiations and support across the business
  • Standardizing documentation across jurisdictions
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of Databricks' internal structures, products, technology, security, and policies to provide comprehensive support
  • Providing general legal support across all areas of the business

What we look for:

  • Fluent English and French (first language or CERF C2), with the ability to draft complex obligations in both languages
  • Qualified attorney or solicitor (or EU equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience, including in an English-speaking jurisdiction
  • Relevant in-house legal experience in the tech sector
  • Understanding of cloud services, technology, channel, and professional services contracts
  • High-level negotiation and legal drafting skills
  • Solid knowledge of business processes related to commercial law, intellectual property, and data privacy, ideally gained in-house
  • Experience managing workload in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
  • A strong desire to be part of a dynamic legal team supporting a leader in data and AI
