Business Resilience Consultant

Location: Battersea, London
Salary: £30,000-£35,000+ benefits

The Role

Join our expert team of Business Resilience consultants and play a crucial role in protecting UK organisations from cyber threats and operational disruptions. You'll work directly with clients to design, implement, and test business continuity strategies that keep critical operations running when it matters most. This is a client‑facing role where you'll develop expertise across our full service portfolio while building your career in one of the most dynamic and essential fields in business today. We are keen to support entry level roles, so you may be either a graduate or a recent graduate with a keen interest in becoming a Business Resilience Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery (75%)

  • Business Impact Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify critical business functions and recovery requirements.
  • Plan Development: Create robust business continuity plans, crisis management procedures, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Exercise Design & Delivery: Plan and facilitate crisis simulations and business continuity exercises for senior leadership teams.
  • Training Delivery: Deliver engaging training sessions to clients at all organisational levels.

Business Development (15%)

  • Proposal Writing: Respond to RFPs and tenders, translating client requirements into compelling service proposals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for service expansion.

Internal Development (10%)

  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to internal best practices and methodology improvements.
  • Mentoring: Support junior team members and graduate consultants.
  • Professional Development: Maintain and develop industry certifications and expertise.

Essential Requirements

  • BCCI (Certificate of Business Continuity Institute) – or commitment to achieve within 12 months.
  • Degree‑level education in relevant field (Business, Risk Management, Engineering, etc.).
  • 1‑2 years in business continuity, risk management, or related consulting role.
  • Project management experience with demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and budget.
  • Client‑facing experience with excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Report writing expertise – ability to produce high‑quality, formal documentation.

Technical Skills

  • BC/Crisis Management Knowledge: Understanding of business continuity lifecycle and crisis management principles.
  • Standards Knowledge: Awareness of ISO 22301, BCI Good Practice Guidelines.
  • Analytical Ability: Demonstrable analytical ability from business or related fields.
  • Desirable Requirements: CBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or similar; awareness of financial services, healthcare, or government sector requirements; awareness of IT disaster recovery and cyber incident response; some experience designing and delivering exercises.
