Senior Engineering Manager in London

The company is one of the regional leaders in the industry and is currently launching its new product, an international platform for ticket sales. The company's annual income exceeds 100 million euros.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineering across a customer growth-focused area of the business. In this role, you will oversee multiple full-stack squads and Engineering Managers working across web, backend, and mobile platforms.

You will play a key role in shaping how customer value is delivered through areas such as growth, retention, subscriptions, and value-led customer experiences. This position requires a strategic leader who can connect several related domains, align technical execution with commercial goals, and ensure teams remain focused on delivering excellent customer outcomes.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners across Product, Design, Data, and Commercial, balancing business impact with a customer-first mindset while fostering a strong engineering culture.

This is a hybrid position requiring attendance at the London office three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering squads and Engineering Managers, supporting their growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance development
• Own end-to-end delivery across several teams, ensuring initiatives are well planned, effectively executed, and delivered to a high standard
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Commercial stakeholders to align technical work with business priorities and customer needs
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across full-stack web, backend, and mobile teams
• Create alignment across multiple connected product domains, ensuring a coherent technical strategy where it matters most
• Champion engineering best practices, promoting quality, scalability, and continuous improvement across teams
• Drive operational excellence through strong monitoring, alerting, reliability, and incident management processes
• Build an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture that encourages autonomy, accountability, and innovation

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex, cross-team initiatives
• Strong people management background, with success in developing high-performing teams and future leaders
• Ability to lead through influence, building trust and empowering teams at different levels of the organisation
• Experience working across multiple product or business domains and connecting them through a clear technical strategy
• Solid understanding of modern engineering practices across web, backend, and mobile environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and creating clarity in complex situations
• Collaborative mindset with experience working closely in cross-functional settings
