Our client is a leading financial services organisation seeking to enhance their Investment Asset Data Operating Model. They are embarking on a programme aimed at improving operational processes and data management within their investment operations.

As a Senior Business Analyst - Investment Asset Data, you will focus on establishing a current state baseline of key operational processes and data flows, identifying inefficiencies, data quality and reconciliation issues, and areas for simplification. You will define business and data requirements aligned with the future state operating model and contribute to system consolidation and integration rationalisation. This is a three month engagement with potential for extension, subject to performance and available opportunities. The role is offered on a hybrid remote basis, with occasional office attendance required in London or Hove.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and validate current state operational processes and supporting data flows
  • Produce end to end process maps and SIPOCs
  • Analyse the data estate to identify data quality, reconciliation, duplication, and ownership issues
  • Define clear business and data requirements aligned to programme objectives
  • Provide input into data lineage, ownership, and key data flows
  • Support process simplification and the reduction of manual processing and EUC End User Computing
  • Contribute to system consolidation and integration rationalisation
  • Engage with subject matter experts and technology teams to align with the target operating model
  • Provide evidence based recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Produce low level and granular models

Requirements

  • Hands on experience working in the Asset Management or Investment Management domain, including knowledge of investment asset data and end to end investment lifecycles in a regulated context
  • Proven Senior Business Analyst experience in complex enterprise environments
  • Experience working with data centric operational processes within regulated organisations
  • Strong process modelling skills, including end to end process and SIPOC maps
  • Solid understanding of data lineage, metadata, and reconciliation challenges
  • Experience supporting legacy estate improvements, including process redesign and data rationalisation
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills

Nice to have

  • CFA certification
  • Experience with cloud based data platforms such as Snowflake in enterprise environments
  • Advanced business process modelling skills using ARIS to support operating model design and optimisation
  • Experience leveraging AI enabled tools for data lineage analysis, discovery, and metadata insights
