What you’ll be doing:
- Build and enhance bespoke Python & Data Engineering solutions for our clients
- Enhance and grow your data engineering knowledge among subject matter experts in our learning and development ecosystem
- Deliver high quality, best practice software solutions
- Use a range of architectures, tools and frameworks
- Have the opportunity to learn and gain certification in new technologies
- Recommend, implement and knowledge share new ideas and innovations
- Work as part of a dynamic team
- Produce clean and efficient solutions based on specifications
- Liaise directly and in-person with client team in London
Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree, ideally in computer science, mathematics or other STEM discipline.
- Minimum two years’ software development experience with strong programming ability in Python
- Experience with SQL and relational databases, e.g. PostgreSQL.
- Experience working in Linux, on the command line.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate well with others.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with C++ is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of AWS e.g. EC2, RDS, S3.
- DevOps knowledge e.g. git, Docker, GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to front-end development e.g. TypeScript, React.
- Financial domain knowledge is advantageous but training will be offered.
