Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Interact with key client stakeholders to build a strong understanding of their surveillance infrastructure and business requirements, including running customer workshops
• Provide subject matter expertise to guide customers and developers towards appropriate solutions
• Undertake detailed data analysis to understand data landscape and feed that into model designs
• Create and maintain design specification documents for trade surveillance alert models.
• Provide QA testing teams with detailed acceptance criteria for all business requirements.
• Liaise with surveillance analysts to lead the troubleshooting and triaging of issues to drive root cause identification and resolution.
• Run detailed tuning analysis and recommend appropriate alert model parameters for business users to validate across different asset classes and instruments.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate the business readiness of each surveillance software release.
• Document, track, and escalate risks and issues to the project lead or
practice lead as appropriate.
Qualifications
Key Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years\’ relevant experience, either as a Business Analyst/Project Manager in Trade Surveillance, or combined experience in trading and risk management
• Understanding of how surveillance functions operate – i.e. the underlying data, technology and processes involved.
• Experience of documenting user requirements and / or business proposals, designing solutions to business needs, and interpreting regulations.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and project best practices
• Experience of working in the consulting / professional services or software vendor sector
• Knowledge of Rates, Credit, Energy, or Commodities trading and risk management is highly advantageous
