At Data Intellect, it’s about human intellect, collaboration and providing solutions for the most complex of challenges. We’re looking for mid-level Python Engineers to join a growing area of our business. We have a number of exciting projects underway around OneTick, a specialist data platform used across global capital markets, and we’re now adding to the team delivering this work.

We’re looking for engineers who want to learn the product, build valuable expertise and help us deliver solutions for international investment banking and capital markets clients. You don’t need previous OneTick experience. What we’re looking for is around 3–5 years of strong Python experience, a broad understanding of data and software delivery, and the confidence to work with clients to solve complex technical problems.

You’ll join a growing team, developing deep expertise in OneTick while helping us expand our capability and deliver increasingly complex projects for international clients. The role is based in Belfast on a hybrid basis, with potential opportunities to travel to London and New York.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll learn OneTick through structured training and hands-on client delivery, combining Python engineering, data analysis, product implementation and problem-solving.
  • Implement, configure and evolve OneTick solutions within client environments.
  • Build Python applications, data pipelines and integrations.
  • Work directly with clients to understand requirements and translate complex problems into technical solutions.
  • Deliver robust, scalable and production-ready solutions.
  • Integrate OneTick into wider client data platforms and workflows.
  • Work on long-term international client engagements, building deep technical and domain knowledge.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product and client stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues.
  • Share knowledge and reusable approaches as we build our internal OneTick capability.
  • Develop your expertise through hands-on delivery, training and certification.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Around 3–5 years’ commercial Python experience across data engineering, data science or data-driven software development.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Apache Airflow and Pandas.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering, software engineering and production delivery.
  • Experience building and delivering data-driven applications or solutions.
  • A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile delivery and modern engineering practices.
  • The ability to work proactively and autonomously.
  • Experience supporting production systems and solving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with both technical and client stakeholders.

Experience in capital markets, financial services or time-series data would be useful, but it is not essential.
