We are hiring for a Financial Data Analyst for one of the top tier banks. The purpose of this role is to ensure the Finance team has the data they need, when they need it, and can present robust numbers and insights to business partners in a timely and routine manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the Finance owned elements of the data model (within both legacy and enterprise IT networks) are robust, relevant, logical and do not degrade as applications from which Finance consume data evolve.
- Supporting Finance to advance their reporting capability and control framework through data model administration and engagement with IT, Ops & CFT stakeholders.
- Ledger maintenance at month-end, which involves closing the period in Opera GL and maintaining the entities reporting hierarchies (GL, Cost Centre, Transit, Project) and other finance master reference data sets (TTCs).
- Data model administration for the TM1 system, including support for management reporting and planning processes, daily monitoring and troubleshooting of data loads, ad-hoc investigations/reporting on behalf of the business, maintaining user access model, and maintaining data model documentation.
- Data model administration for Coupa and Opera GL systems, involving daily monitoring and troubleshooting of overnight integrations and assisting with system upgrades and regression testing where required.
- Data model administration for the Power BI reporting models used by Finance, including refreshing & re-publishing Power BI data models and dashboards, and daily monitoring and troubleshooting of overnight refreshes.
Education and/or Experience:
- Essential Qualifications & Experience: Data Science Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with experience applying data science principles and methodologies, advanced MS Excel skills, and basic knowledge of financial management reporting and budgeting principles.
- Beneficial Qualifications & Experience: 1 to 2 years TM1 administration/end-user experience, familiarity with the latest version of TM1 (Planning Analytics), good understanding of approaches to system development life cycle, including change and configuration management, SQL experience/understanding, Power BI experience/understanding, and financial services experience.

- Behavioral: Critical thinking skills, strong problem-solving skills, well organized with the ability to meet exacting deadlines, good communication skills, ability to make decisions and use initiative, strong collaboration, excellent attention to detail, and excellent analytical reporting skills.
