Role Purpose / Summary
Design, develop, test and support automation for the data protection services within the bank. Design, develop, test and support reporting and monitoring capabilities for the automation. Provide engineering support on the bank's data protection products and their standard usage. Undertake product evaluation, new features, and versions. Produce clear and comprehensive documentation for all automation produced. Mentor less experienced members of staff.
Qualifications / Requirements
- 10+ years development experience with multiple languages, including Python, Bash
- 5+ years experience in configuration management and orchestration using Redhat Ansible
- 5+ years experience in configuration management and orchestration using Puppet
- 5+ years experience in designing, developing, and testing Rest API services
- 5+ years experience in Devops SCM tooling, GitHub
- 5+ years experience in Devops CI/CD tooling, Jenkins, CloudBees
- 5+ years experience in Devops collaboration tools, Jira, Confluence
- Strong technical background in Veritas NetBackup and related infrastructure
- Strong technical background in Commvault and related infrastructure
Location: Sheffield, Hybrid 3 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £464.60 p/d, umbrella inside IR35, contract until 30/09/2026
